ESPN soccer commentator Ian Darke crushed it with this fabulous dating promo for the upcoming World Cup.
“Who writes this stuff?”
Darke and the rest of the ESPN crew will televise the World Cup starting June. It’s the final year the network has the global soccer event before Fox Sports takes over in 2018.
Darke, a BBC veteran, joined ESPN in 2010 and has been the voice of soccer for the network since.
“Since Ian emerged as our year-round signature voice for soccer, his commentary has elevated our presentation of the sport to new heights,” said ESPN VP Jed Drake. “His experience, authenticity and passion resonate tremendously well with our viewers, who have come to expect the highest-quality soccer commentary from ESPN.”
