The curious case of Antonio Morrison getting arrested just got a little more curious. The Florida Gator linebacker was arrested yesterday for allegedly barking at a police dog.
Now, in the dashboard cam video, fellow Alachua County deputies are questioning whether the 19-year-old should have been really arrested or just given a warning.
“Going to jail for interfering with a dog,” the officer tells Morrison. Wow! That is now a crime in Alachua?
Apparently taunting “police animals” is prohibited, but really is this another case where the bark is worse than the bite?
Morrison was released from jail pending further charges. The team has also suspended him for the first two games of the upcoming season for not just this matter but for an addition run-in with the law last month.
