Here’s another great goal from the World of soccer. In this one Eric Hassli of the Vancouver Whitecaps scores a winner on the Seattle Sounders.
The extraordinary effort from the 30-year-old French striker came in the 85th minute and earned the Whitecaps a 2-2 tie with the Sounders.
“I closed my eyes and shot,” Hassli said after his sixth goal of the season. “I had a lot of luck there. It works, so that is why I do it.”
“You could have put two goalies in there,” said Whitecaps FC goalkeeper Joe Cannon. “I don’t think I’ve seen a goal from that angle like that. That’s got to be one of the world’s top goals of the year.”
